Q: Where's your favourite place to be?

Garnet: We've got this lovely graveyard outside the Queen's Palace, rows of statues and markers dedicated to the hundreds we've defeated and the particularly important people we've killed; I tend the garden there, lots of gorgeous vines and roses.

My half of an art trade with =Jateshi.

When I decided to do Commander Garnet, that quote came to mind and so I set about drawing him in the graveyard (though I'll admit it's pure artistic license as I don't know what it looks like). I just saw the 'tombstones' as bunches of miniature obelisks for some reason, which probably isn't correct...

I like how Garnet himself turned out, though I did mess up on a few things. His pose, in particular, turned out rather well. (And as to whether he's killing the rose or healing it, I'll leave that up to you :P)

The background is not the greatest but it gets the mood across. I wish my scanner hadn't cut off the edges; you could see the two Serenities better, but I think you can guess who they are here. I hope you like it, Jateshi!

Actually, I caught sight of the Serenity's before reading your comment. Callisto-chan! That is absolutely GORGEOUS. The perspective is beautiful and the coloring is amazing. I love how you drew Garnet, too. *_* I'm awestruck, dear. Simply awestruck.

I'm happy to hear the perspective isn't too horrible...that's not exactly my strong suit. >.> But thank you. Appearance-wise, I think I like Garnet the most out of all the Black Ranks. Don't ask me why because I'm not sure why myself, but I think he looks handsome. :heart:

Oh, that's good. :D I check and double-check everything to make sure it's correct, particularly with characters I'm not so familiar with, and I'm glad I nailed him. :D :D Like I said to Ramya, he's one of my favourites, both in personality and appearance.
