Freyja and Nannin

Third in a series I've tentatively titled the "People of Melohdia" series. It's technically a remake of a little series I did with the Uni and their guides, except made a little better than what I had before.

These are ~RammyRummy’s characters Freyja and Nannin – the former is the one in blue, also known as the Uni of Baldurnan; the latter is in pink, and serves as guide to the younger (and shorter) Uni.

Fun fact: while looking up heights to finish this, I realised that all the girls currently in the profiles, with the exception of Freyja, were 5’ 5”. If you got them all standing in a row it wouldn’t be quite as noticeable because they all have traits that make them look taller or shorter (ex: Athenais and Evania both have tall hair and platform sandals, compared to Shinzui who wears lower sandals) but I thought that was interesting.

This has been sitting around for quite some time now; I believe I started sketching it not long after completing the previous one, but after getting Nannin’s face down pat, set it aside. Decided it was high time to finish it up.

Ramya gave me free artistic license with Nannin, only asking that it looked ‘Valkyrie-ish’. I probably shouldn’t have waited as long as I did or else more ideas might be coming to me. Rather than stick Nannin in a corset like Freyja (like I was sorely tempted to), I just stuck her in her usual belt. I like her face and hair, though. I thought the partial braid would spice up the hairdo.

Freyja’s hair is ‘curly’ this time around, and Ramya compared it to another RP character of hers, Odilia, as far as hair went. I’m surprised at how well it turned out; I wouldn’t call them babydoll ringlets, but they’re ringlets and she looks pretty good with them. I find them time-consuming to colour, either by hand or on computer, but I like the result.

Anyway, it’s long overdue, and I rather like the end result; I hope you do too, Ramya.
