Im not entirely sure what inspired this, though I rather like the results. Evania was originally going to be greyscale (done in pencil), but I changed my mind at the last moment because no matter what I do, pencils always seem to smudge. I like the yellow tones, though. It was rather easy working with a limited colour palette.
Elena needed a bit more art anyway. There are a lot of things Im not happy with, mainly Elenas face. (And lots of things were botched on Evania too, dont get me wrong). But still, it was a rather fun little piece to do, even if I did practically tear my hair out while sketching it. Perhaps that should have been a warning. The little vase shes holding is the miracle (suggested by ~erin-hime ) that spurs the crazy notion that shes a goddess, or at least magical enough to be called such; turning water into wine (and apparently turning it into milk between that, or whatever is going on there). A bit on the Biblical side, but sometimes simple is best. It was frustrating thinking up that pose though; I was going to give her a sword because I had thought up a cool-looking pose for such a thing, but decided against it, as she isn't primarily a fighter to begin with. Still, the wine thing works here. I like her hair especially in this one; its so much shorter than her hair as Evania. Her head will probably feel lighter when she goes back to the real world.
